Seeking Eve

“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness…
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.”

- Audrey Hepburn

31% of Canadians are made uneasy by born-again Christians. That’s a big number.

In a world rapt with fear and fundamentalism one writer set out to explore the stories of believers – young women - who, no matter the circumstance, express something deeper — a simple, daily faith — in Jesus.

But what does faith look like? Where do people find it? And how do we know if it’s real? Could this faith be a beautiful thing?

The goal: put a face to modern-day Christianity that is real, honest, beautiful. It’s a story no one’s been telling. Through personal interviews, polaroids and rich art work this site will weave together the messy and thrilling lives of people trying to choose faith in the everyday.

We are all inspired by people. People living their dreams, no matter how big or small. And they are all around us: beautiful people who are daring to live the lives they’ve always dreamed of. Moms who design clothes as their babies nap. Painters who have tossed out their commercial brushes to create on canvas. Emmy award-winning journalists who got their start in a rural backwater. We are all in their company, if we only had eyes to see.
