These are really inspiring! I just finished a similar assignment for my materials class that required me to design and handcraft a conceptually relevant thank you card and envelope for the presenter of a field trip we went on…
I love sending people things in the mail : the problem, most people are too into the old technology to send me something back :O( Has anyone experienced this? I guess that the joy is in the giving though, but there’s still nothing like getting a handmade card or letter in the mail!!
Amanda — maybe we can have a letter writing night at a cafe in Oxford?
Julia — I have experienced this too. The joy really is in the giving, but my cherished letter-writing friends share a special place in my heart (and on my bulletin board…) Thanks for stopping by!
a magazine writer partial to typewriters, snail mail and traveling on foot.
When not reading, mucking with paper, or penning poetry on the backs of napkins, I am exploring the world alongside two little marvels, Madeleine and Thomas. The Poetry of Life is where I share lines as they come, pictures of our ambling life and thoughts on faith, art, technology, fashion and culture.
Thanks for visiting! I love to hear from you.

great link! I just popped a letter or two in the mail myself, but am officially inspired to make it a weekly occurrence. :)
