Un Question
Why do some parts of the country (the world?) have milk in bags, and others in cartons? Ontario is a bag province and it seems me the refillable milk pitchers are an environmental choice. They’re even used here in Toronto’s Starbucks.
I just found this image — Is Canada the only country in the world with milk in bags?
Answers anyone?

i don’t know the answer but i do know that BC used to have milk in bags because i totally remember my grandma having bagged milk when i was little.
but seriously - it creeps me out a little when i see bags of milk in the grocery store and i still buy the carton. (it also helps that i really only drink milk in coffee….)
Apparently Belgium doesn’t have milk in bags…
Oh, and Quebec has bags too. I remember thinking it was weird when I was there…
Not in Belgium, how do you know?
I have a Belgian roommie at the moment…
… they had them in Malawi and all through Africa… but they were individual bags by serving.
It’s only due to the industrial choice of the milk transformer/conditioner: milk bags and cartons in Eastern Canada, plastic jugs in U.S., carton brick and plastic bottle in Europe.
